About the Tour

This full-day guided West Coast tour is designed for comfort, small groups (up to 7 people), and unforgettable experiences. Below is the itinerary and important information to help you prepare for your adventure:

PLEASE NOTE: A moderate level of fitness is required – rocky steps and a moderate incline are part of the first two stops. Comfortable shoes for walking required. On wet days a raincoat and maybe a change of clothes is recommended (when it rains it REALLY rains)

Sunblock and a sunhat/cap may be useful in summer.

Covid recommendations apply to the businesses we visit.

Tour is designed to suit adults as alcohol is served so while R18 is preferred teenagers are welcome if supervised by a parent at all times.

Pick up and drop off to Hokitika and elsewhere may be possible by prior arrangement.

• 8:30 AM – Depart Greymouth Town Square
  Meet opposite the clock tower and set off along the famous Coastal Highway.
• 9:00 – 10:00 AM – Punakaiki Pancake Rocks & Blowholes
  Marvel at one of New Zealand’s most unique geological formations.
• 10:45 – 11:45 AM – Tauranga Bay Seal Colony
  Watch fur seals in their natural environment.
• 12:00 PM – Lunch in Westport
  Enjoy a Kiwi-style meal at one of three local venues (dietary options available).
• 1:00 – 1:30 PM – Shortjaw Brewery (Tue–Sat)
  Taste award-winning West Coast craft beers.
• 2:30 – 3:15 PM – Reefton Distillery or Township Walk
  Sample world-famous gin or explore the charming historic town.
• 3:15 – 5:00 PM – Grey Valley & Brunner Mine Memorial
  Return via farmland and mountains, with a short heritage walk before arriving back in Greymouth.
